Brought my 2013 SRX in for service for engine light on in October, warranty just ran out in July, they said it had a bad engine. I brought my car to get a 2nd opinion, they told me same thing but I should reach out to GM for help so I did. GM has been very helpful, of course Gerry Lane never suggested getting GM involved. The service at Gerry Lane is the absolute worst in Baton Rouge. I also own a Mercedes and BMW and I just cant believe the difference. I called Eric Lane to express my concern about the service department and the issues with a 4/12 year old car and to my surprise he returned my call with in 15 minutes only to tell me he could care less what goes on at the Cadillac Dealership that I should contact Tyler Lane his son. To this date January 31, 2019 I have left 17 messages with No return call for Tyler Lane. Back in november I began calling the general manage at Cadilliac regarding my issues with the service dept and my car (that was still there). I left around 12 messages with no return calls, my husband then went to the dealership to get his attention and he then called me that night to say if he gave me a loaner would it make me happy, I agreed and he assured me that he would call me first thing in the morning with a loaner. After leaving 5 messages that day I finally received a phone call from the loaner department that I could pick up a loaner. When I picked up the loaner it was a GMC SUV with 4 low tires, no inspection sticker, no license plate on the back and no temp tag in the window. I was called the week of Christmas and told it would be finished by the end on the week. I was called the week of New Years and told it would be finished by the end of the week. I ten called the first week of January to check and they said it wasn't finished yet. Finally, they called the week of Jan 14th to day the car was ready and my daughter went to pick it up and the battery was dead, they had to jump the car off. Someone in the service department told her it had been sitting for over a month. The next morning it was cold and raining and my daughter went to get in the car to go to LSU and the car was dead, had to call AAA and replace the battery. Horrible, I will NEVER go to Gerry Lane again. I will not even take advantage of the free oil change. GM was great, the paid a portion of the replacement part of the engine.
